On Thursday 17th September the Bright Water landscape project held an awards evening for the winners and runners up of their photography competition and to celebrate the launch of the Bright Water Wallplanner 2017, in which the winning photographs feature. The event was held at the Head of Steam Railway museum in Darlington and it was a standing room only event.

There was a presentation for the winners and the runners up in the competition and displays of the winning and runner up entries. The winners received beautiful Bright Water paperweights and useful bags for all their heavy camera equipment, with the overall winner Pat Blewitt also receiving a framed copy of the wallplanner. There was a lot of interest in the displays about the project and the wider Bright Water area and the potential to get involved.

Copies of the wallplanner are available from Bishop Middleham Village Hall, Sedgefield Library, Hardwick Park shop, Darlington Library, Head of Steam Railway Museum and The Pioneering Care Centre, Newton Aycliffe. All you need to do is complete a short survey to receive your planner.
